EAW Sound Utility ReadMe

Just a quick note on .wav files and the sound utilities support of them. Currently, the sound utility only supports uncompressed, PCM wave files. This means that whatever software that you use to create and/or edit your wave files needs to save the file correctly. I have run across a number of wave files that are saved as Windows PCM, but still contain a WAVEFORMATEX structure and "fact" chunk. These types of files, while still working correctly under Windows, will not work with the program and will have to be re-saved with a program that will write them out correctly. Adobe Audition (Cool Edit Pro) and/or Audacity (audacity.sourceforge.net) will create a correct Windows PCM (uncompressed) wave file.
